Anchor & Multimedia Journalist

I find and tell the stories in my community.

I work as the evening weekend anchor and a multimedia journalist at WDBJ7 in Roanoke, Virginia. I joined the team in May of 2019. In that time, I have been on scene for investigations in Roanoke, followed protesters marching through Blacksburg, and captured Botetourt County build better broadband connectivity.

On the weekends I manage a team, helping decide the content covered and how to respond to breaking news. I also produce a news brief entirely in Spanish that is published nightly on Facebook. With less people in a newsroom, there’s more responsibility and I get excited to tackle the challenges thrown our way.

Before moving to Virginia, I worked as the weekend anchor and a multimedia journalist at WITN in Greenville, North Carolina. During my time at WITN, I captured the devastating impacts of Hurricane Florence and reported on the successes as communities worked together to rebuild. I reported live at breaking news scenes and highlighted the economic growth and events in the community.

I grew up in New Jersey and studied at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. In college, I dual-majored in Broadcast and Digital Journalism, and Spanish.

On the desk, I create trust, oversee content and help lead a team.

In the field, I connect with neighbors, question officials and find answers.
